Brit's 6th grade trip

Britta got to spend 3 days in Sedili Besar, Malaysia 

for her CWW (classroom without walls) trip last week.

Since she is such an outdoor/animal lover, this adventure was right up her alley!

this is a 40ft. snake that was found in the village
it was killed by the locals and hung out to dry so
they could use the skin to make things

they toured the rubber and palm oil plantation
and learned how the rubber is extracted from the trees

of course they were near the ocean too!

they learned how to weave palm leaves

Brit found every creature under the sun and named them all...

this is where they manufacture bird nest soup and drink
I guess it's some great delicacy here and it's made from bird saliva :0
these poor birds live out their lives here being used for there spit

Brit learned a lot about the rocky shore and all the creatures that live here
barnicles, snails, crabs, starfish, anemones
seeing all these creatures was her favorite part of the trip

Brit worked it so that she got to stay in Bailey's cabin
she pulled the homesick card...good one.

It was so fun to see how excited Britta was to share all her experiences.
This girl loves to learn and particularly gets excited about anything to do with nature or animals.
 Thanks to an amazing school for this great learning opportunity she got to have.
